“We can only imagine the Buddha wholeheartedly by discovering his image in our own minds, inspired and supported by the images around us… this work is more akin to magic than to science”
Re-imagining the Buddha
Acrylic painting of Amitabha Buddha Rupa
Though this is a depiction of Amitabha, holding up a lotus, in the way he appeared to Sangharakshita; for me this is the Buddha. This is the figure I’ve been meditating with for over a decade at the Birmingham Buddhist Centre. Sometimes he likes to hand me the lotus, sometimes he reaches down and puts it in my heart, smiling and saying nothing.
Printed on Hahnemühle natural white matt 200gsm paper using eco tank printing
20% of each sale is donated to a different Triratna centre or project every few months.
